Dr. in Organic Chemistry focusing in Natural Products and Metabolomic tools at the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG). Graduated at Chemistry from Universidade Vale do Rio Verde (2007). Had experience in Metabolomics and bioinformatics obtained from a period at UCSC (University of California - Santa Cruz - US) under supervision of Dr. Roger Linington. The main focus on his research is based on the discovery of the main compounds in complex extracts for the biological activities and classic Natural Products using multivariate statistical analysis tools. Also has experience in working with genomic tools applied to Natural Products Chemistry of microorganisms. Currently works with the identification of best conditions for the biosynthesis of novel compounds based on chemical stress in Burkholderia thailandensis for the discovery antibiotics-like molecules.
