Obtained a Bachelor's and a Teaching Licentiate Degree at the Federal University of Viçosa, Brazil, with emphasis in Structural and Molecular Biology. Experienced in Cellular and Molecular Biology, Cell Signalling, Host-pathogen interaction. During undergraduate studies, worked as an exchange student at Dr. Alan Huett's Lab at the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK, studying protein effectors secreted by Chlamydia trachomatis. This project was further explored under the supervision of Dr. Leandro Licursi de Oliveira at the Federal University of Viçosa, aiming to identify potential target interacting proteins for those effectors. Currently working on his Ph.D at the University of São Paulo under the supervision of Dr. Dario Simões Zamboni, exploring the activation and inflammasome-dependent responses to intracellular pathogens.
