Matheus is following the graduation course in Medicine at the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. Graduation forecast: 2019. Presently he is the Director and Treasurer of Liga de Combate à Febre Reumática (University League on Rheumatic Fever Prevention), one of the ancient (61 years old) Leagues of the University of São Paulo Medical School. He also works as a student on duty and a teacher at MedEnsina, a free pre-university course for candidates, run by the Medicine students of the University. Furthermore, he took part in the Clinical Genetics and Clinical Anatomy Leagues and is presently a member of the Diabetes Mellitus and Anesthesiology Leagues of the Med School. In 2015 he made Scientific Initiation research work in the area of breast cancer cells differential gene expression with Dr. Maria Lucia Hirata Katayama, and was tutored by Dr. Maria Aparecida Azevedo Koike Folgueira at LIM24 (Medical Investigation Laboratory 24) at the University of São Paulo Medical School.
