Assistant Professor at the Department of Computing of the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP). I have MSc and PhD degrees in Applied Computing by the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), Brazil, where I recently developed the PhD thesis entitled "Controlling collective behaviors and autonomous mobile agents". Part of the aforementioned research was conducted at Humboldt University Berlin, Germany, under a visiting PhD student position. I have a Bs degree in Computer Science (UNESP, Brazil), period in which I developed research at the Department of Cartography in image processing and photogrametry, and worked for 3 months as intern of the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, developing a project on human machine interaction. My interest areas are dynamical systems and computer science subjects, including, but not restricted to, collective motion, complex networks, image processing and nonlinear dynamics.
