Bruno Zucherato

He is a professor in the field of Geography Education and Physical Geography at the Institute of Human and Social Sciences (ICHS) of the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), Araguaia University Campus (CUA). Since 2024, he has served as Deputy Director of the ICHS and as a collaborating professor in the Graduate Program in Geography (PPGGeo) at the State University of Mato Grosso (Unemat). He holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra (Portugal), in joint supervision with UNESP - Rio Claro Campus (2018), a Master's degree in Geography (Spatial Organization) (2012), and a Bachelor's degree in Geography (2009), both from UNESP - Rio Claro Campus. Currently, he leads the Research Group on Geography Education and School Cartography (EnsiGeCE), is a collaborating member of CEGOT (Center for Studies in Geography and Spatial Planning, Portugal), a researcher in the GEOCART Research Group (Geotechnologies and Cartography Applied to Geography), and a member of the School Cartography Studies Group (GECE). He has expertise in the fields of Geography and Cartography, with a focus on: School Cartography, Geography Education, the development of teaching materials in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geographic databases, as well as risk and socio-environmental vulnerability cartography.
