Birthplace: Brazil

Chemist graduated from the Institute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo (IQ/USP). He is currently pursuing a Direct Doctorate in Public Health at the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo (FSP-USP), focusing on chemical exposure and potential health outcomes in populations occupationally and environmentally exposed to potentially toxic elements, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), as well as on the application of exposure biomarkers. He was a Scientific Initiation fellow at the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) during 2017 and 2018, and also at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). His work also includes the assessment of chemical exposure in children through plastic utensils, toys, playgrounds, and other sources, as well as the identification of mitigation strategies. He develops research involving biomarkers of subchronic exposure in children and occupationally exposed groups, in addition to physicochemical methods for the analysis of PAHs and the elemental composition of fine particulate matter (PM2.5).
