Birthplace: Brazil

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP, 2008), a Master's degree (2011), and a Ph.D. (2014) in Materials Science and Technology from the POSMAT/UNESP program. He completed postdoctoral research at the Institute of Physics at USP São Carlos (2014-2015), at the University of Victoria in Canada (2015-2016), and at Lund University in Sweden (2022-2023). Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at FCL/UNESP in Assis and serves as a faculty member in the POSMAT graduate program. His research is focused on the study of applications in photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photothermal therapy (PTT), with a concentration in three main areas: the development of nanostructured materials with phototherapeutic properties; in vitro investigations using tumor cells to analyze the cytotoxicity and photodynamic efficiency of phototherapeutic materials; and studies of molecular interactions in cell membrane models, employing lipid vesicles and thin films, such as Langmuir, Langmuir-Blodgett, and Langmuir-Schaeffer films.
