CV Lattes ORCID

Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Biologia (IB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Colômbia

She is a PhD student in Molecular and Morphofunctional Biology, emphasizing Biochemistry, at the Institute of Biology of the State University of Campinas. She holds a masters degree in Biochemistry from the Institute of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo (2018) and a degree in Bacteriology and Clinical Laboratory from the Universidad Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca (2012). Her research focuses on the integrative structural and biochemical study of proteins involved in the physiological processes of microorganisms, including cloning and heterologous expression in bacteria, yeast, mammalian cells, and filamentous fungi, as well as the functional characterization of these proteins. She has extensive experience in protein purification using FPLC and in molecular interaction studies through Pull-Down, ITC, and SEC-MALS assays. Additionally, she possesses expertise in the enzymatic characterization of bacterial phospholipases and fungal CAZymes, along with standardizing RT-LAMP reactions for identifying viral RNA. In the structural field, she works with X-ray Crystallography and is gaining experience in Transmission Electron Cryomicroscopy (Cryo-EM). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
