She is a Technological Development Analyst of the Eukaryotic Platform at the National Biorenewables Laboratory (LNBR) at the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM). She has a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the Chemistry Institute of the University of São Paulo (2018) and a degree in Bacteriology and Clinical laboratory from the Universidad Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca (2012).During her master's degree and subsequent research projects she gained experience in the cloning and expression of heterologous proteins using bacteria, yeast, mammalian cells, and filamentous fungi as expression systems. She also has extensive experience in protein purification using different types of liquid chromatography in FPLC and structural and interaction studies using crystallography, ITC, and SEC-MALS. She works with enzymology focused on the characterization of fungal CAZymes and previously worked on the characterization of bacterial phospholipases and the standardization of RT-Lamp reactions.
