Birthplace: Brazil

A Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences was obtained from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (2019), followed by a Master's degree in Food Science from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with the project "Bacterial diversity of dry-aged and wet-aged meats using next-generation sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene" completed in 2021. Currently, a Ph.D. is being pursued at the University of Milan, in the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, focusing on two projects: (a) "Reduction of methane (CH4) production in ruminants using microencapsulated additives" and (b) "Immunomodulatory effect of extracellular vesicles from the plasma of heat-stressed cows on bovine immune cells." During the undergraduate period, a research fellowship funded by FAPESP was conducted, with the project "Coagulase-negative Staphylococcus: analysis of resistance and enterotoxigenic profiles in strains isolated from dairy products" at the Faculty of Food Engineering at UNICAMP. Participation in the Tutorial Education Program (PET) at PUC-Campinas involved teaching, research, and extension activities. Extensive experience in microbiology and molecular biology has been developed, including PCR techniques, microorganism cultivation, and characterization. Additionally, expertise in veterinary immunology focused on ruminants, purification of extracellular vesicles, cell biology and culture, sequencing techniques, omics approaches (OMICs), bioinformatics, and ruminant fermentation and nutrition has been acquired.
