Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas (FFLCH)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I have a PhD in Social History from the University of São Paulo (2023) and a Master's Degree (2012) in the same field of expertise from the same institution. At the University of São Paulo, I also acquired a Bachelor's Degree in History (2008) and Philosophy (2017). I am particularly interested in Intellectual History, Early Modern History, Methods and Theories of History. In my thesis, I investigate the intellectual and historiographical practices of a famous 17th-century scholar, John Selden (1584-1654), and meditate on what they show about the making of historical knowledge in Early Modern England. My PhD research was not my first experience dealing with this historical context. During my Master, I dedicated myself to the comprehension of controversy in demonology between two English scholars that lived in the second half of the 17th century, John Webster and Joseph Glanvill. All this research work would be impossible without the grants I received from Fapesp. Nowadays, I am a teacher for teenagers in Year 8 and spend my leisure time with my 5-years old son, Iuri.
