Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Centro de Biologia Molecular e Engenharia Genética (CBMEG)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelor in Biological Sciences from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). She was a scientific initiation student at the Laboratory of Genetic and Molecular Analysis at Unicamp, where she developed a research project aimed at studying the genetic basis of the phenotypic differentiation observed in the common-garden of two natural populations of Avicennia schaueriana from contrasting latitudes. As a PhD student in the graduate program in Genetics and Molecular Biology at UNICAMP, under the guidance of Professor Anete Pereira de Souza, she sought to identify the geographical and environmental contributions to genomic divergence in mangrove forests and is currently developing research with gene co-expression networks to identify and understand potential molecular mechanisms and gene expression patterns related to hypoxia adaptation in Avicennia species.
