Holds the position of Full Professor of the University of São Paulo, at the School of Public Health(FSP) since 2008 and since April 2014 she is head of the Department of Epidemiology at the same school . She was chairman of Research Committee of FSP / USP from 2009 to 2013, being a member of the Research Counsil at USP in that period. CNPq ad hoc consultant, FAPESP ad hoc consultant . Referee of: Plos One, Sao Paulo Medical Journal , Journal of Public Health , Revista Brasileira de Epidemiologia, Saúde e Sociedade (USP), Revista do Instituto de Medicina Tropical de São Paulo, Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology, Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation, Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephorology, Revista DAE, Vaccine, Epidemiologia e Serviços de Saúde, Arquivos de Ciências da Saúde (FAMERP), Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery. Her interests in research are in epidemiology , mainly on the following subjects : risk factors and prognosis of chronic and acute renal disease, morbidity associated with aging and effects of environmental pollution on health.
