I have a PhD in Psychiatry from the University of Nottingham, England (2014), a Masters in Social Cognitive Neuroscience (2010) and Masters of Arts (undergraduate degree) in Psychology (2009) from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. My area of expertise is developmental cognitive neuroscience. I use electroencephalography (EEG) and other cognitive neuroscience techniques to understand neurotypical and neurodivergent child development and the factors that influence it. I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow for five years (2013 to 2018) at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology Neuroscience, King's College London, London. I came to Brazil in 2018 as a visiting professor at the Department of Psychiatry, Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, funded by FAPESP. Between 2019 to 2021 I held a postdoctoral fellowship from FAPESP, also at the Department of Psychiatry, Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo. In 2021 I was awarded a Young Investigator award from FAPESP, in which I am investigating the early development of autism and ADHD at the Department of Psychiatry, Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo. Since 2022, I am the vice-coordenator of the Laboratório de Investigação Médica 23, Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
