Bárbara Mirelli de Melo e Castro


Birthplace: Brazil

Agronomist (2014) and Master in Entomology (2018) by Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). During graduation, I had a scholarship from CNPq and developed researches on Epidemiology and Disease Management of coffee and cedar (Toona ciliata), as well as working with agrochemical efficacy trials in the Department of Plant Pathology (UFLA). I was a intern at IHARA where I worked with agrochemical research and development at the Research Center. I worked as Technical Assistant at Dupont in marketing and demand generation in coffee growing areas. During the Masters, with emphasis on Integrated Pest Management and Biological Control, I developed studies on the effect of nanomaterials on Spodoptera frugiperda and Doru luteipes. I'm currently working as an Entomology Research Coordinator at Tarvos, developing automated pest monitoring systems. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
