Senior researcher at the Institut Pasteur, with a degree in Biomedical Sciences (1978), a specialization in Immunoparasitology (Institut Pasteur de Lille, 1979), a Masters in Parasitology from the University of São Paulo (1985), and a PhD in Immunology from Université Pierre et Marie Curie Paris 6 (1989). She completed postdoctoral training at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Seattle, USA) and the DNAX Research Institute (Palo Alto, USA). She also holds a qualification in Business Management and Project Administration (IDET, Paris, 2008), and a Masters in Innovation and Intellectual Property (University of Strasbourg, 2010).She is Director of Research at the Institut Pasteur and heads the International Laboratory for Infectious Processes by Trypanosomatids, within the Department of Global Health, recently relocated to Brazil. She coordinated the Institut Pasteurs Administrative Office in Brazil (20172023) and served as Executive Coordinator of the Pasteur-USP Scientific Platform (20172023). Since the creation of the Institut Pasteur of São Paulo in 2023, she has been serving as its Executive Director.She previously worked as a researcher at INRA (France) and has been a Foreign Trade Advisor to the French government since 2019. She has extensive experience in international scientific cooperation. Her research combines immunology, cell and molecular biology, and 2D/3D imaging, with a focus on parasitic diseases such as Chagas disease and Nagana, as well as arboviral infections associated with neurological disorders. She is the author of numerous scientific publications and holds patents registered in several countries. Among other honors, she has been awarded the Légion dHonneur (France, 2020), the Epidemics Medal (MEAE), and the French Senate Medal (2023). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
