Did his undergrad in Biomedicine at the Federal University of Pará (2006) and his master in Biology of Infectious and Parasite Agents at the aforementioned University (2009). He is currently working on a post-doctoral project at Princess Margaret Cancer Research Centre whose hypothesis is to better understand the impact of the microbiota on the epigenetic mechanisms of CD4 T cells that drive a particular transcriptional program capable of promoting gut inflammation in IBD patients and ultimately characterize how epigenetic probes could be clinically used to target and revert the inflammatory environment driven by CD4 T cells.
