Post doctoral Scholar(1981-83) in Iowa State University (Ames, Iowa, USA). Since 1996 is Full Professor with USP/ESALQ/Department of Genetics. Has experience in Agronomy, acting on the following subjects: Genetics and Plant Breeding, Quantitative Genetics, Plant Genetic Resources (Germplasm), mainly in self-pollinated species with emphasis in soybean (Glycine max).
