Dr. Rodnei Rizzo is graduated in Agronomic Engineering from the College of Agriculture "Luiz de Queiroz" (ESALQ - 2009) and with a Master's Degree in Soils and Plant Nutrition from ESALQ (2011). He holds a doctorate from the Graduate Program in Applied Ecology Interunits at the University of São Paulo (USP). In the private sector, he has worked as a Senior Geoprocessing Analyst, developing land prospecting projects for the implementation of bioenergetic crops. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at ESALQ-USP, developing research in remote sensing applied to the soil and plant monitoring. He works mainly on the following themes: environmental analysis and modeling, land use, eco-hydrology, geoprocessing, pedometry (quantitative pedology) applied to Spatio-temporal characterization of soils, spatial modeling of climatological variables and agroclimatic zoning.
