Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Campus de Botucatu. Instituto de Biociências (IBB)  (Institutional affiliation for the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I am graduated in Biological Sciences (UNESP, Brazil, 2009), and I have a Ph.D. degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology (UNICAMP, Brazil, 2014). In 2013, I made part of my Ph.D. abroad, at Institut de Biologie Physico-Chimique (IBPC) in Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Paris, France. From 2015 to 2019, I started my postdoctoral at the Butantan Institute (Brazil). From 2018 to 2019, I carried out part of my postdoctoral at the University of Glasgow (Glasgow, UK). Recently, I am awarded the Young Researcher grant from FAPESP to develop the project entitled "Investigation of the role of inositol pyrophosphates (PP-IPs) in DNA repair pathways and telomere dynamics using trypanosomatids as a model". I have experiences in different fields, such as biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, evolution, molecular genetics of trypanosomatid parasites, parasitology and protozoology, acting mainly on DNA metabolism-related topics: DNA repair, DNA replication, cell cycle, telomere homeostasis, and replication stress.
