PhD student in Indigenous Studies at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (Canada), currently conducting a research project focused on food sovereignty and security among Indigenous communities in Quebec.I hold a Master's degree in Ecology from the University of São Paulo (USP), where I carried out research at the Laboratory of Archaeology, Environmental Anthropology, and Human Evolution (IB/MAE-USP), with an emphasis on ethnoecology and historical ecology of the equatorial dry forests in the Lambayeque Valley, Peru.My undergraduate education is in Biological Sciences (both B.Sc. and teaching degree) from the Institute of Biosciences at USP, including an academic exchange at the Universities of Toronto and Windsor (Canada). During this exchange, I conducted research at the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Toronto, focusing on ecological corridors for Brazilian primates.As an undergraduate, I took part in a scientific initiation project at the Plant Anatomy Laboratory at USP, studying species of the Malpighiaceae family found in the Chapada Diamantina region (Bahia, Brazil). I also completed an advanced research internship at the Laboratory for Evolutionary and Ecological Human Studies (IB-USP), working on topics such as species domestication, nutritional ecology, and research project development.For ten years, I served as a research assistant at the Laboratory of Archaeology, Environmental Anthropology, and Human Evolution (LAAE-USP), contributing to projects in the areas of environmental and nutritional anthropology, archaeology, historical ecology, and science communication.
