Agnes Cristina Fett Conte

She holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University (UNESP/1984), Master's degree in Genetics from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University (UNESP/1987), Ph.D. in Genetics from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University (UNESP/1992), a PhD in Human and Medical Genetics from the School of Medicine of São José do Rio Preto (FAMERP/2005), as well as has Specialist title in Human Cytogenetics from the Brazilian Society of Genetics (SBG), Specialist title in Systemic Familiar Counselling from the FAMERP and Specialist in Genetics by the Federal Council of Biology. She is an Adjunct Professor of the Department of Molecular Biology, Professor and Supervisor of the Pos-Graduated Course in Health Sciences (FAMERP), Head of the Genetics Service, Head of the Genetics Laboratory (FAMERP/FUNFARME). She worked for 23 years as a professor and supervisor of the Pos-Graduated Course in Genetics at UNESP in São José do Rio Preto/SP. She is a full member of SBG, effective member of the Brazilian Society of Medical Genetics (SBGM) and researcher linked to research groups CNPq (Biomarkers of Human Diseases-UNESP/SJRP; Human Syndromes of Microdeletions-UNESP/Botucatu), leader of the Group "Genetics of Complex Diseases". Coordinator of the Collaborating Center "Base Hospital" of the Brazil's Craniofacial Project (UNICAMP). She has experience in the field of Clinical Genetics, with emphasis on Genetic Counseling, Clinical Cytogenetics and Molecular Biology. She develops multidisciplinary projects with the objective of evaluating cytogenetic, molecular and clinical alterations, mainly in the themes: cancer (leukemias and related conditions), autistism spectrum disorders and craniofacial anomalies.
