Birthplace: Brazil

Holds a degree in Agronomic Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1991), a master's degree, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1994 and 1998, respectively). Completed a sandwich Ph.D. at the University of Florida (1997). Currently a full professor at the State University of Campinas. Has experience in Agricultural Engineering, with an emphasis on Rural Construction Engineering, focusing primarily on the following topics: Precision Livestock Farming and Environmental Control for broiler and layer poultry farming, swine farming, and dairy cattle farming. Serves as Brazil's representative at the International Research Center for Animal Welfare (IRCAW), based in Chongqing, China, which includes renowned researchers worldwide. Also affiliated with ASABE - American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, and CIGR - International Commission of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. Has published numerous articles in collaboration with international partners, particularly with the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign, Polytechnic University of Valencia, and the University of Florida. I have an approved project in collaboration with professors from the University of Florida and the University of Manitoba, Canada. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
