Suéllen Rodolfo Martinelli

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (IIES - 2014), a specialization in Applied Informatics in Education (IFSP Itapetininga - 2017), a Master's degree in Computer Science (UFSCar Sorocaba - 2019) funded by CAPES (scholarship / process no. 1730157), a Licentiate degree in Informatics through the Special Teacher Training Program for Basic Education (IFSP Itapetininga - 2019), and a Ph.D. in Computer Science (UFSCar Sorocaba - 2025), with a scholarship funded by FAPESP (process no. #2020/11441-1) and a defense held on April 29, 2025.She is a member of the UXLeris research group (UFSCar Sorocaba) and has several publications in scientific journals (such as Information and Software Technology and the Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society) and scientific conferences (such as the Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems, the Brazilian Symposium on Software Engineering, and the Nordic Conference on Human-Computer Interaction) relevant to the fields of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Software Engineering.She has research experience in: organizing, conducting, and analyzing data from qualitative research (Grounded Theory and Thematic Analysis); experimentation and evaluation in interactive systems and user experience (UX); experimentation and evaluation of unplugged and plugged activities with children; and investigations into Computational Thinking among elementary school teachers and children (grades 15).Her research interests include: the appropriation of User Experience (UX) practices by software startups; investigations into proposals or frameworks that enable the adoption of UX practices in software startups; research in Computer Science Education; and experimentation and evaluation of software based on logic blocks and educational kits for children.She has previously worked as a teacher at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP - Itapetininga Campus), Colégio Objetivo (Itapetininga Unit), the National Service for Commercial Learning (SENAC - Itapetininga Unit), ETEC Sales Gomes (Tatuí - SP), and ETEC Dr. Celso Charuri (Capão Bonito - SP).
