Birthplace: Brazil

I'm a biomedicine bachelor and a PhD student on Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), in the Psychiatry Genetics field since 2021. During my undergraduate research, I studied the association of epigenetic factors in colon cancer, using bioinformatics tools, mainly Rstudio software. My current project is focused on improving the application of the Polygenic Risk Score (PRS) approach for admixed population in Brazil. I am testing different polygenic risk scoring approaches, using primarily the schizophrenia phenotype and also performing ancestry analyzes. During my project, in addition to applying PRS, I did some basic quality control analysis using the Plink software, statistical analysis in R program and plotting graphs to visualize results. I am also involved in collaborations with other institutions, which mainly involve GWAS approaches, PRS and ancestry analysis in different fields. Throughout my academic career I am involved in many teaching activites, as I have a passion for teaching. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
