ANDERSON TARGINO DA SILVA FERREIRA

I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Reflectance Spectroscopy Laboratory (LER) from the Institute of Geosciences (IG) at Unicamp, where I work on detecting oils and effluents in the marine environment using hyperspectral remote sensing. I also work in the Lasers and Applications Center (CLA) at the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research (IPEN).I previously completed a postdoctoral internship at the Institute of Geosciences (IGc), at SPAM-Lab (currently at IAG), and at the Coastal Dynamics Laboratory (LDC) from the Oceanographic Institute (IO), both at USP. The studies that began at that time, on the dynamics of microplastics in the coastal environment gave rise to the idea of a FAPESP regular grant project under my coordination. Titled "Geochronology of microplastics in coastal sediments: analysis based on Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL), stable isotopes (13C), thermal analysis and GNSS positioning" (FAPESP Process #2020/12050-6), which is based at IO-USP, where I'm a Collaborating Reseacher. I have a Master's and a PhD in Geodynamics and Geophysics (both from PPGG/UFRN), a MBA in Data Science and Analytics from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ-USP), a Technologist Degree in Geoprocessing from UNIASSELVI, am a Geographer (Licentiate from UFRN and Bachelor's from Unicamp), a 7th-semester undergraduate student in Statistics (FMU) and a Technician in Geology and Mining from the Federal Center for Technological Education of Rio Grande do Norte (CEFET-RN, currently IFRN). I have teaching experience in Higher Education (undergraduate and graduate), having worked in the stricto sensu Master's Degree in Geoenvironmental Analysis (MAG) at Universidade Guarulhos (UnG) for nine years (2014-2023) and at Fatec-Jahú, in the Environmental Technology and Water Resources course between 2022-2024. In addition, I taught classes in the Postgraduate Program in Oceanography (PPGO/IO-USP), in Environmental Science (PROCAM/IEE) USP), and in the lato sensu Specialization course in Environment and Water Resources at Universidade Potiguar (UnP). My work focuses on spatial and morphometric analysis, multi and hyperspectral remote sensing techniques, Raman spectroscopy, and machine learning for environmental studies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
