He holds a degree in Chemistry from the Methodist University of Piracicaba (1992) and a Professional Master's in Sugar-Energy Industrial Production Management from UFSCar (2013). He served as coordinator and researcher at the Sugarcane Technology Center (1989 to 2015) and is currently a partner in service providers dedicated to the sugar-energy sector.
