Ana Clara Matoso Montuori de Andrade

Postdoctoral resident in the Immunology department of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo (2024-current). She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2014), a master's and doctorate in Biochemistry and immunology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2017 and 2021, respectively). She was a postdoctoral resident in the Immunology department of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo of Ribeirão Preto (FMRP) (2023) and in the Pharmaceutical Sciences program at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) (2021-2022). She has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Immunology, with emphasis on Mucosal Immunology, working mainly on the following topics: immune response to lung diseases, intestinal and pulmonary microbiota and probiotics. She also has experience in immunology of leishmaniasis. She currently works on studying the importance of iron metabolism homeostasis for the adaptive response against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
