Professor in the Postgraduate Program in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Informatics (CPGEI) at the Federal University of Tecnology Paraná (UTFPR). Holds a Master's and Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from UTFPR and a Doctorate in Technical Physics Engineering from Friedrich-Schiller-Universität in Jena, Germany. During his doctoral studies, he worked at the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (IPHT), focusing on the development of devices in special optical fibers, acousto-optical modulators, and Bragg gratings. Visiting Researcher at Aston University in England, where he coordinated, as a Marie Curie Fellow, the European INCORE project and the Computational Simulation Group - HPC Midlands Plus. He has experience in the design, computational modeling, and fabrication of microstructured optical fiber devices for applications in telecommunications, industrial sensors, and biomedical applications.
