Rafael Junqueira Buralli

Professor at the Department of Policy, Management and Health of the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo (FSP/USP). PhD and Master in Public Health from the FSP/USP, with visiting scholaships (doutorado sanduiche) at the University of California, Berkeley, and the School of Public Health of the University of Chile. He is physical therapist with practical and lecturer experiences. He was pos-doctoral researcher supported by FAPESP at the Faculty of Medicine of USP; and Technical Consultant for the Panamerican Health Organization at the General Coordination of Occupational Health of the Brazilian Ministry of Health, working on diverse themes related to health surveillance, epidemiological surveillance, environmental and occupational health, and public health emergencies. He is the current chair of the Executive Board of the Latinamerican and the Caribbean Chapter of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE-LAC), and collaborator on the Little Things Matter team (LTM), for scientific communication. He reviews for several scientific journals, and collaborates in diverse research projects. Has special interest in themes related to environmental and occupational health, epidemiology, health surveillance, and science communication.
