She holds a degree in Biomedicine from UniNassau - Recife (2009), a Master's in Industrial Biotechnology from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE, 2014), and a Ph.D. in Biosciences and Biotechnology Applied to Pharmacy from São Paulo State University (UNESP/Araraquara, 2019), with a sandwich Ph.D. conducted at Hochschule Mannheim, Germany. She has extensive experience in the fields of Synthetic Biology and Industrial Biotechnology, focusing on topics such as Bacillus subtilis, quorum sensing, CRISPR/Cas9 technology, and the production of industrially relevant compounds by microorganisms. Additionally, she has experience in vocational education. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), working on the improvement of Bacillus subtilis strains for surfactin production, with her activities based at the University of Hohenheim, Germany.
