Dr. Luiz Roisman works in the area of ophthalmology, with subspecialty in Clinical and Surgical Retina. His medical degree was completed at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the UNIVERSITY OF THE STATE OF RIO DE JANEIRO (UERJ) from 2001 to 2006. His medical residency in Ophthalmology was performed at the PAULISTA DE MEDICINA SCHOOL OF THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF SAO PAULO from 2007 to 2009 and sub-specialization in CLINICAL AND SURGICAL RETINA by the same institution from 2010 to 2013. Through the position of PhD associate of the Retina sector at the renowned BASCOM PALMER EYE INSTITUTE, UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI, he conducted a research fellowship with Prof Dr Philip Rosenfeld from 2015 to 2016. In thesis defended in 2017 he obtained the title of DOCTOR OF OPHTHALMOLOGY AND VISUAL SCIENCES by UNIFESP. Today, he is still a researcher and collaborator at UNIFESP conducting research focusing on macular diseases and OCT Angiography. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
