Veterinarian from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. Master's Degree in Preventive Veterinary Medicine from São Paulo State University (Unesp Botucatu). Specialist in Educational Technologies at the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina. PhD student in Preventive Veterinary Medicine at São Paulo State University (Unesp Botucatu) with a sandwich period at the University of Lisbon. His line of research focuses on infectious diseases of public health importance, the most important of which is Q fever. She has experience in bat research and in the serological and molecular diagnosis of the main infectious diseases of veterinary medical importance. He has administrative and leadership experience as a member of collegiate bodies and academic boards. He is an active member of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine and reviewer of journals BMC Veterinary Research, Travel Medicine and Infectious Disease and PLoS Neglected Tropical DIsease.
