She works in the field of environmental toxicology, using zebrafish (Danio rerio) as the main research model. She has experience in using zebrafish to characterize eco- and neurotoxicological profile of environmental stressors, and is interested in the use of zebrafish for the assessment of human and environmental health status, with emphasis on biochemical, molecular and behavioral biomarkers. She has a post-doctoral by the University of São Paulo. She is graduated in Biology by the São Paulo State University, MSc in Aquaculture by the Aquaculture Center of São Paulo State University, and PhD in Sciences by the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo.
