Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Centro de Energia Nuclear na Agricultura (CENA)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Agronomy from the Federal Rural University of the Amazon (UFRA) and M.Sc. in Sciences from the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture, University of São Paulo (CENA/USP), including a research exchange at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry (MPI-BGC) in Jena, Germany. During my undergraduate training, I conducted undergraduate research at UFRA on plant water-stress physiology, and later held undergraduate research scholarships from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) at UFRA and the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), focusing on plantmicroorganism interactions and the metabolism of volatile compounds in Amazonian medicinal plants. Since 2020, I have been working on soil microbial ecology and biogeochemistry, investigating how human-driven land-use change affects microbial communities, soil organic matter dynamics, and carbon and nutrient cycles, with a particular focus on Amazonian soils. I am currently a Ph.D. student at the International Max Planck Research School for Global Biogeochemical Cycles (IMPRS-gBGC) in Germany, integrating metabolomics (e.g., LCMS/HRMS) and metagenomics to understand how climate change and land-use change impact biogeochemical functioning in the Amazon.
