Professor at the Department of Genetics and Evolution at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). Graduated in Biological Sciences (2008), Master's (2010) and PhD (2011) in Genetics and Evolution from the Federal University of São Carlos, the last one having been developed at Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (Germany) and at the Universidad de Jaén (Spain). Additionally, he carried out postdoctoral internships at Universitätsklinikum Jena (Germany) and at the Federal University of São Carlos. I am currently member of the Genetic Advisory Committee (CA-GE) of CNPq (07/01/2022 - 06/30/2025) and coordinator of the National Institute of Science and Technology of Biodiversity and Sustainable Use of Neotropical Fishes (2022-2027). I am Alumni of Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung (AVH) and member of the Editorial Board of 5 scientific journals and reviewer of others 70. Has experience in Genetics, with emphasis on Animal Genetics, working mainly on the following topics: Molecular Cytogenetics, Genomic Organization, Biogeography and Evolution.
