As an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), my research focuses on pertinent challenges in contemporary healthcare. I explore the intricate relationship between the immune system and infectious processes in aging, seeking to elucidate the mechanisms that modulate disease susceptibility and response to interventions. Furthermore, I apply Data Science in the methodological analysis of health phenomena, aiming to refine the understanding of epidemiological patterns and develop novel prevention and treatment strategies. My international experience as a Visiting Research Professor in the Department of Medicine (Geriatric Medicine Research) at Dalhousie University (2022-2023), supported by CAPES-PrInt, and my current role as a Fellow Researcher at the Canadian Center for Vaccinology, also at Dalhousie University, attest to my engagement with cutting-edge research and global scientific collaboration.
