Alexandre Nogueira Barbosa

Holds a direct doctorate in Applied Computing from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), obtained in 2013, due to the alignment between the theme of his research and his activities at the Institute of Aeronautics and Space (IAE). Graduated in Aeronautical Infrastructure Engineering from the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) in 1994. He is a reserve officer of the Brazilian Air Force. His career is marked by contributions to the Brazilian aerospace industry, including participation in the launch of the Brazilian Satellite Vehicle VLS-1 PT-01, in 1997, and the coordination of the São Lourenço Operation in 2015. He has practical experience gained from launches for training and scientific experiments over the years. In 2022, he provided services for Innospace, conducting training in flight dynamics and safety during the Astrolabe Operation. He currently co-supervises postgraduate students at ITA and develops computational solutions for the analysis of space vehicle trajectories in his postdoctoral project at ITA, in addition to collaborating as a researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IEAv), focusing on the dynamics and safety of hypersonic vehicles. He is part of the Research Network in Aspirated Hypersonic Propulsion (PRO-HYPER), contributing to the development of software for calculating the trajectories of hypersonic vehicles, aligned with the objectives of the PROCAD-Defense 2019 project.
