Control and Automation Engineer by the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI) [2004], Master and Doctor in Science, in Systems and Control, by the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) [2008 and 2011, respectively]. He has been a visiting researcher at Université Paris-Est / ESIEE / Paris [2013] and at Pennsylvania State University [2018], both in the area of Guidance and Control of multi-rotor aerial vehicles. He currently holds the position of Associate Professor and head of the Mechatronics Department at ITA.
