Bojan Marinkovic is an engineer of crystallography and mineralogy. He received his first degree in 1995and his MSc degree in materials science in 1997, both from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. In 2003, hereceived his PhD degree in materials engineering and metallurgical and chemical processes from thePontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From 1997 to 1999, he worked as a researchassistant at the University of Belgrade in the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies, Materials ScienceDepartment. From 2003 to 2010, he worked at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro as aresearch associate. In 2010, he joined the Department of Materials Engineering at Pontifical CatholicUniversity of Rio de Janeiro as an assistant professor. His principal research area is ceramicmaterials with a focus on synthesis, characterization, and applications of TiO2-based nanostructures andnegative thermal expansion ceramics. He has a special interest in diffraction and electron microscopytechniques as materials characterization tools. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
