Dr. Figueira obtained a PhD degree in Medical Pathophyiology at the State University of Campinas, a Master degree in Human Exercise Science at the State University of São Paulo (Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho in Rio Claro, UNESP) and a Bachelor degree in Exercise Science at the State University of São Paulo. The personal interests are on exercise physiology, metabolism and mitochondrial functions. Since March 2018, Dr. Figueira is working full time at the University of São Paulo (Escola de Educação Física e Esportes de Ribeirão Preto) as Adjunct Professor. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
