Associate Professor at UNESP Campus of Ilha Solteira, teaching Plant Pathology for the undergrad program in Agronomy, Integrated Management of Plant Diseases and Population Genetics of Plant Pathogens for the graduate programs in Agronomy from UNESP Campus of Ilha Solteira and Genetics and Plant Breeding from UNESP Campus of Jaboticabal; Coordinator of the Graduate program in Agronomy (UNESP Campus of Ilha Solteira, 2004-2005). From 2005 to 2009, has worked as Senior Scientist for the Institute of Integrative Biology at ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), thru an international cooperation agreement between UNESP and ETH Zurich. Areas of expertise: Plant pathology, population genetic structure, phylogeography, evolutionary biology and origin of fungal plant pathogens in Agriculture. World specialist on pathosystems associated with the Basidiomycetous fungus Thanatephorus cucumeris (Rhizoctonia solani).
