Current line of research: anxiety, stress, animal models, serotonin, and behavior. Associate editor for Frontiers in Human Neuroscience. Co-responsible for the research group entitled "Neurobiology of stress, anxiety and substance use". Member of the following scientific societies: Sociedade Brasileira para o Progresso da Ciência (SBPC), Sociedade Brasileira de Neurociências (SBNeC) and Sociedade Brasileira de Psicologia (SBP).
