Professor at the University of São Paulo. Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1986), a Master's in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1989) and a PhD in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1994). Has experience in Applied Physics, with emphasis on Applied Nuclear Physics with Accelerators and analysis with ion beams. Currently works on the subject of Archaeometry in the study and characterization of art objects and cultural heritage using non-destructive spectroscopic and imaging techniques. Develops research projects with the University of São Paulo Museums and São Paulo Museums such as Pinacoteca, FAAP, MASP, Casa Portinari, etc. Coordinator of the Laboratory of Archaeometry and Sciences Applied to Cultural Heritage at the Institute of Physics at USP (LACAPC - IFUSP), Coordinator of the Research Center for Applied Physics to the Study of Artistic and Historical Heritage (NAP-FAEAH). Professor at the Pos-Graduate Program in Physics (since 2001) and at the Interunits in Museology/PPGMus/USP (since 2015). Member of the Brazilian Society of Physics - SBF and of the ANTECIPA (National Association for Research in Technology and Heritage Science: Science, Technology and Innovation for the Study and Preservation of Cultural Heritage).
