Researcher and project coordinator at the Center for Technology and Society at Fudação Getulio Vargas (CTS/FGV ), Rio de Janeiro. Member of the Advisory Board of the WebWeWant, a campaign on internet freedom from the World Wide Web Foundation. Member of the Steering Committee Best Bits, a network of civil society organizations focused on internet governance from the perspective of the Global South. Elected member of the Steering Committee of 1Net, a multistakeholder network composed by academy, civil society, technical community and private sector focused on Internet governance. Master in Law and Development from the Law School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas, São Paulo. Graduated in International Relations from the Catholic University of São Paulo (2004 ) and graduated in Law from Mackenzie University (2005). With diploma courses in Law and New Technologies and in Intellectual Property at the Centro de Extensão Universitária (2006) and in Development Studies and Global Civil Society at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences - LSE (2001). Former researcher at the Centre for Innovation and Competitiveness of the Institute for Advanced Study, University of São Paulo and the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP), now she works with applied research focusing on public policies regarding the use of ICTs and it's relation to fundamental human rights an, ultimately, the right to development. In that sense, she has been engaging in debates to reform the legal-institutional framework for an open and inclusive Internet governance, following internet governance processes on international foruns, mostly the UN (UNESCO, IGF, ITU and CSTD) and ICANN. Eventually she has also explored new tools to engage users in the network policies, combining activism and new technologies in the transmedia documentary project: freenet? film.
