Anamaria Siriani de Oliveira is a physiotherapist with a Bachelors degree (1996) and Masters degree (2000) in Physiotherapy from the Federal University of São Carlos, and a PhD (2002) in Orofacial Biology and Pathology from the University of Campinas, with a focus on Surface Electromyography. She completed her postdoctoral training and served as a visiting professor at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Washington, Seattle, USA. She is currently an Associate Professor (level 3) at the Department of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP).At FMRP-USP, she teaches the undergraduate courses "Kinesiology and Biomechanics", aimed at Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy students, and "Pain Non-Pharmacological Conservative Management", an elective course for students across healthcare professions. She also supervises the Professional Internship in Community Health Physiotherapy. Additionally, she coordinates the Rehabilitation Clinic for the Shoulder Complex (A.R.C.O.), where she oversees the activity "AEX-FMRP-00002.01 Physical Health Assistance Practices at A.R.C.O.". This program allows undergraduate and graduate students from various disciplines to engage in interprofessional education and gain hands-on experience, fostering connections between education, healthcare services, and society.Her institutional contributions include active roles in key committees and projects. She is a member of the Undergraduate Committee at FMRP, the Coordinating Committee for the Physiotherapy Program, and the Management Board of the Teaching Development Center (CDDE-FMRP). Since 2019, she has been a core facilitator at CDDE-FMRP, organizing and participating in initiatives aimed at faculty development.As a mentor, she supervises undergraduate research projects, master's and doctoral students in the Graduate Program in Rehabilitation and Functional Performance, as well as postdoctoral fellows. She focuses on fostering technical and scientific competencies, such as critical thinking through the scientific method, and provides supervised patient care at ARCO. Her mentorship also emphasizes the development of socioemotional skills, including self-awareness, communication, focus, accountability, social awareness, teamwork, and creativity.In research, she leads the Ribeirão Preto Shoulder Research Group in Physiotherapy, which is dedicated to developing evaluation protocols and physiotherapeutic interventions for the shoulder complex, addressing impacts on functionality and participation. Her research predominantly involves patients from Brazils Unified Health System (SUS) and has been consistently funded since 2003. Her clinical and research expertise lies in primary and secondary healthcare levels, with an emphasis on biomechanics, chronic musculoskeletal pain, and functional evaluation, all within the biopsychosocial model of health and patient-centred care. Recently, she has initiated studies on traumatic conditions of the shoulder complex, with early results currently being published.Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), her work strongly integrates with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Her contributions directly address SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).She is also an evaluator for the McMaster Online Rating of Evidence System, a member of the Special Commission on Pain and Movement of the Brazilian Association of Orthopaedic Physiotherapy (ABRAFITO), and serves on the Standards Committee of the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT). She was a founding member of the Brazilian Society of Electromyography and Kinesiology (SOBEC) and served as a tutor in the Multiprofessional Residency Program: Comprehensive Health Care a (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
