Dr. Cristiano M. Gomes received his medical degree from the University of Sao Paulo and completed his residency in General Surgery and Urology at the Hospital of the same Medical School. He completed a Research Fellow in Urology at the University of Pennsylvania and his Doctorate in Urology (PHD) at the University of Sao Paulo. Dr. Cristiano M. Gomes is an Associate Professor of Urology at the Hospital of the University of Sao Paulo School of Medicine, and a Professor of the Post Graduate Studies program in Urology from the University of Sao Paulo. He has experience in Urology, with emphasis on voiding dysfunctions, acting on the following areas: urinary incontinence, neurogenic bladder, reconstructive surgery, benign prostatic hyperplasia, urodynamics and sexual dysfunction. His research interests include not only these clinical areas, as well as basic research involving cellular and molecular mechanisms of bladder dysfunction. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
