He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Faculdade de Economia, Administração e Contabilidade - USP (1998), a Master's in economics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2001) and a PhD in economics from Duke University (2007). He has taught at Universidade de São Paulo from 2009 to 2020 (being a Professor of Economics in the period 2013-2020). He is currently an Associate Professor at INSPER Institute and Vice President of the History of Economics Society (HES) (2025-2027). He served as co-editor of the Journal of the History of Economic Thought, published by HES, from 2018 to 2025. He has experience in Economics, on the following subjects: history of modern macroeconomics, history of economics in the 20th century, history of mathematical economics and econometrics.
