Augusto César Rueda Medina

Currently, he is professor at Electrical Engineering Department of the Federal University of Espírito Santo. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP, Ilha Solteira, São Paulo - Brasil. He is Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UNESP (2012), and Bachelor's and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (2004 and 2008). In 2011, the homologation of his Bachelor's degree was approved at UNESP, Ilha Solteira. From 2015 to 2016, he conducted a research internship at Mississippi State University, USA; and, from 2009 to 2010, during his Doctoral research, he conducted another research internship at Universidade de Zaragoza, Spain. He has experience in analysis, operation and control of electrical distribution and transmission systems, acting on the following subjects: transmission expansion planing, distributed generation (wind turbines, photovoltaic systems, small hydro plants, and biomass-based plants), electric power markets, electrical machines, mathematical optimization methods applied for solving linear and non-linear problems, multi-objective optimization, statistical methods for temporal series forecasting.
