My Medical Degree was at the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro in 1994 and was a scientific initiation scholarship holder by the PIBIC program at CAPES from 1991 to 1994 at the same institution. My residency was in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Hospital São Paulo, Escola Paulista de Medicina, UNIFESP, from 1995 to 1998. I defended a master's degree (1999) and doctorate (2002) by the Gynecology Department at UNIFESP, being a CAPESP scholarship holder. In 2000, I joined the CAPES Sandwich Doctoral Program at Northwestern University Medical School in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with Professor Margarida Dubocovich for two years. I received a grant from the PRODOC (National Program of Support to Institutional Projects with the Participation of New Doctors) from CAPES from 2003 to 2004, when I finished my post-doctoral studies at UNIFESP. I was an Adjunct Professor at UNIFESP from 2005 to 2012. I defended my "Livre Docência" position in 2008. In 2013, I passed the public examination for Associate Professor (MS-5) of the Discipline of Gynecology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo Paul. In 2015, I was elected Vice Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo and 2019, I was led as Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I am currently a CNPq Level I researcher with the following lines of research in Endocrine and Climacteric Gynecology and Lower Genital Tract with special emphasis on Melatonin, Chronic Anovulation, Premature Puberty and Climacteric.My international experience began in 2000 at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, United States under the supervision of Professor Margarida Dubocovich, a great researcher in melatonin and responsible for the functional characterization of melatonin receptors. In 2013, Professor Russell J. Reiter, renowned researcher in Melatonin, from Medical Neuroscience at UT Health San Antonio, an international agreement was signed with Prof. José Cipolla Neto from the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, ICB, University of São Paulo. Resulting in theses and publications in the area.In 2013, I started my career in the Discipline of Gynecology of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Faculty of Medicine of the University, where I had the opportunity at the invitation of Professor Edmund Chada Baracat to participate in the Platform Gynecology Faculty of Medicine of USP and Medical School of Michigan University , with interaction with Prof. Timothy RB Johnson, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan and Professor Senaid. We are cooperating with Prof Jairam Menon and Prof Vasantha, with joint FAPESP projects and publications, involving postdoctoral students. Subsequently, we are in collaboration with Prof Tommaso Simoncini from the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Piza in Italy, with the participation of postgraduate and postdoctoral students.I supervised 21 scientific initiation students, as well as 12 masters and 21 doctors in the graduate program (UNIFESP and USP). Currently, I am advising three scientific initiation students with scholarships (PUB, PIBIC and FAPESP), two master's students and four doctoral students.I supervised five post-docs who had internships abroad (United States and Italy) and I am supervising four post-docs.I received 24 research grants from FAPESP (, four from CNPq, including a Universal project. I have 337 full articles published in journals, 300 book chapters and editor of six books. I have a patent. My ISI is 23 by Research ID (G-1467-2012) and by Google Scholar is 33.
